An overview of the WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN and WHY of Candi's Floral Creations. (Ok, we may have added in a HOW too!)
Who we are:
I am Candice. I have been creating all my life, designing for 25 years and operating my Wedding and Event Floral Business for more than 15 years.
My design team is hand picked and trained by me. They are experienced designers and can handle anything that is thrown at them and I trust them implicitly. These skilled designers are also my installation team as they may have to design and create on-site.
My break-down team is made up of responsible individuals that take care in sending you off at the end of the event with your flowers while collecting our rented items and breaking down décor and structures.
Together, we are Candi's Floral Creations and often referred to as "C-Unit."
What we do:
Our tagline is “Creating Your Vision through Color and Design.” It’s really as simple as that! We take your vision for your special day and make it a reality. Taking all of your ideas, our design experience and event expertise and blending them together to create your unique story.
We find that some events need more direction and guidance, therefore, we offer different levels of design that you can choose from: Floral + Décor or Design Coordination.
We have a rental division that allows you to "one stop shop." If we don't have it we will acquire it, build it or source it for you as we have many connections throughout the industry.
How we do it:
Starting with a phone consultation we gather all of your floral and décor needs. Then the fun begins. We let the creative juices flow to prepare for our in person meeting that is geared towards your specific needs. Once we have met and narrowed down all of the details we will then be able to properly provide a proposal for you. All phone consultations and in person meetings are by appointment only. During our busiest months we schedule meetings 3 weeks out. We don't meet on the weekends that we have events as our focus must be on the event at hand.
Are you from far away? Or have a seriously busy schedule? We've got you covered! We have created a very stress-free, fun and easy way of planning via phone and email. We start with a phone consultation but then fast track past the in person meeting and present you with a very detailed proposal via email, which includes photos, suggestions, ideas and costs.
No personal connection is lost as there are multiple phone calls and emails to make sure we are compatible and are on the same page.
Keeping with the question "How", we are often asked "How Much?" This is a custom relationship we are building for your one of a kind day – it comes with a custom price tag, but don’t be afraid of that! We will work together on a budget that's comfortable for you, without compromising your vision.
Where we do it:
Everywhere! We have designed from Maine to Jamaica, Newport to Cape Cod, NYC to Long Island, from the far east corner of CT to the far west corner of CT. You can often find us at venues where we are the preferred florist: Saltwater Farm Vineyard, New Haven Lawn Club Fine Catering, Saybrook Point Inn, Madison Beach Hotel, Gourmet Galley Catering @ The Guilford Yacht Club, Belle Terrace at Avon Old Farms.
Destination event proposals will have our travel fees included.

When we do it:
Years, months, weeks before your event we are gathering materials, preparing items, building structures, organizing the details for your special day. We get flowers in at the beginning of your event week so that we can properly condition and care for them. We may need to blow open roses, straighten calla lily stems, or recut hydrangea stems multiple times to hydrate them. We start designing a few days before your event to have ample time to get all the details as they should be. The day of the event we will deliver flowers to all of your locations. We create our timeline by contacting your key vendors to assure that your entire team is on the same page and everything gets delivered and installed on time and correctly.
Why we do it:
Seriously? Can’t you feel the love in each one of our creations? We love it! We love the personal connection we develop throughout the planning process. We love to design and bring all aspects of your decor together seamlessly. We love seeing your face when you lay eyes on your designs for the first time; when you realize that we have created exactly what you wanted, even though you may have not known that's what you wanted. It's really just that magical!
